BUSHING WEAR

THROUGH WEAR AND CRACKED BUSHINGS

Causes of occurrence

Exceeding the wear limits.

Factors accelerating wear

Excessively wide shoes and an excessively high load, the use of equipment on highly abrasive soil, on sticky soil, the operation of a new track with a worn drive wheel.

Produced effect

Loss of lubrication in oil-lubricated pivot tracks and subsequent internal bushing and pin wear. The bushing cannot be used for turning over and chain repair. Increased wear on the drive sprocket teeth.

Prevention and elimination

Decide if the wear rate is exceeded and repair or replace the track.

BUSHING WEAR RELATED TO CENTER

The wear is not symmetrical to the center line of the track. Sometimes the inner surfaces of the link are also subject to wear. Track and / or drive sprocket misalignment.

Factors accelerating wear

Operation on a slope, worn out guards, misalignment of the bogie frame and undercarriage components such as rollers, idler and drive sprockets.

Produced effect

The wear rate of the bushing increases, especially in places subject to more pressure.

Prevention and elimination

Alignment of offset components. Install side protection if possible.

BUSHING WEAR FROM ROLLER RIBS

On the surface of the bushings, pitting wear near the inner surfaces of the track links.

Causes of occurrence

The inner ribs of the track rollers and / or the carrier rollers ribs are in contact with the track bushings due to wear on the treads of one or more track rollers and / or carrier rollers that exceeds the allowable wear limit.

Produced effect

It leads to vibration during the movement of equipment and to premature failure of the bushings.

Prevention and elimination

Replacing worn out track rollers and / or carrier rollers.
