“Chaz” JSC begins serial production of 5-teeth sprocket segments

An assortment of a special trading company “CSPC” LLC (“CSPC” LLC is a part of Machinery and Industrial Group N.V.) will be fulfilled by new segments of ChAZ TM for T-11 dozers manufactured by “Promtraktor” JSC. In October 2014 “Cheboksarskiy Agregatniy Plant” JSC will manufacture the first production batch of sprocket segments AT11-19-01.The goods will be produced using forgings, manufactured by new technology, which will provide both increased resistance to abrasive wear of sprocket and the extended lifetime of track group assembly bushings.
The beginning of serial production of import-substituting five-tooth sprocket segments of ChAZ TM for dozers Komatsu D65, D85, DD155, D275, D355 and D375 is planned to 2015.
Till now “CSPC” LLC didn’t supply five-tooth sprocket segments for import dozers. The possibility of their production appeared with the development of new technology for getting forgings in “ChAZ” JSC. The main advantage of new technology is the lack of mechanical machining of segment’s teeth and hollows between them, which contact with bushings of track group assembly (during manufacturing process). The profile of the teeth and hollows is obtained in final during the process of stamping the workpiece, which allows increasing the operating life of products. The manufacturing is organized using 5 and 10 tone forging hammers. Then segments are heat-threatened – extensional treatment, then after the necessary machining of mounting surfaces on CNC machines, additional hardening of the working surfaces of the teeth with high-frequency currents, providing hardness 53-55 HRC.
